Music of Duke Pearson

“The set is full of diverse melodies played by a variety of distinctive soloists; many of these songs deserve to be revived.” – All Music

Performing the Blue Note combo recordings of Duke Pearson from 1964 – 1968.

Playing music from his albums: Wahoo!(1964), Sweet Honey Bee (1966) and The Right Touch (1968). Featured on the original recordings are the likes of Donald Byrd, Joe Henderson, Freddie Hubbard, Garnett Brown and Ron Carter.

This music is of it’s time, but there is no doubt that it’s smart compositions and hard swinging continue to be relevant.
